LuxSci Group Executive Appointments

LuxSci Group today announced three additions to its executive leadership team: Ryan Abney has joined as Group Chief Financial Officer, Johannes Holvitie has been promoted to Group Chief Technology Officer, and Mark Theall has joined as Head of Sales for LuxSci. The appointments mark an important milestone in the evolution and growth of LuxSci Group, which includes leading HIPAA-compliant email provider LuxSci and Nordics digital care platform provider Oiva Health, as the combined company expands its position as a leading supplier of secure healthcare communications and digital care solutions.

Ryan, Johannes, and Mark join the leadership team at a moment of significant momentum for the company, as it expands its footprint across new markets in the US and Europe, while strengthening its focus on technical execution and product innovation, operational efficiency, and profitable growth.

Ryan Abney Joins as Group Chief Financial Officer

Ryan Abney joins LuxSci Group as Group CFO, partnering with the executive team to drive growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation across the company. Ryan brings more than sixteen years of finance leadership to LuxSci Group, spanning investment banking, public companies, and private equity-backed software businesses. He most recently served as CFO of a technology company serving the clinical research industry, and before that held the CFO role at a SaaS platform in the behavioral healthcare space. Ryan’s background combines financial discipline with operational leadership and expertise that will be central to scaling the company’s growth and driving profitability.

Johannes Holvitie Appointed Group Chief Technology Officer

LuxSci Group has appointed Johannes Holvitie, previously Chief Operating Officer at Oiva Health, as its Group Chief Technology Officer to lead the technology strategy and product execution across the combined group. Before joining Oiva Health, Johannes led virtual services for specialized medical care at the Hospital District of Southwestern Finland, and served as Program Director for ICT at the Southwestern Finland Wellbeing County, where he oversaw regional ICT infrastructure consolidation, including telecommunications networks and patient information systems, across 27 municipalities and five municipal federations.

Mark Theall Joins as Head of LuxSci Sales

Mark Theall joins as LuxSci’s Head of Sales, bringing more than 30 years of experience helping technology companies build and scale commercial operations across healthcare, telecommunications, and financial services. Prior to LuxSci, Mark served as SVP of Growth at Cogito, a pioneering behavioral AI company, where he played a central role in the commercial growth trajectory that culminated in Cogito’s acquisition by Verint Systems in 2024. Earlier in his career, Mark held senior leadership roles at Aveniros, Interactions, and Interactive Constructs, deepening his expertise across AI-driven customer engagement and enterprise software.
