Tønsberg, Norway – November 4, 2024 – Tønsberg Municipality proudly announced that it has become the first municipality in Norway to launch a digital home care service powered by Oiva Health.
In partnership with Oiva Health and Atea Norway, this groundbreaking service represents a new era in home care, empowering seniors and people with disabilities to live more independently and securely with the support of advanced, pre-scheduled digital home care visits, social engagement, and personalized care tools.
“This is good for the patients, good for the municipality and good for the environment”, says Municipal Manager of Healthcare services Frode Hestnes.
“It is important to emphasize that the new, digital home care should not replace the services we already have. There are still many patients who will need physical visits to get the help they need, but digital home nursing can be a good alternative for some or a supplement to ordinary home nursing.”, Hestnes continues.
